Minutes Steering Group Meeting and Public Forum
Wednesday 9th February 2022 at Tavistock College
A big thank you to Nick Read and his colleagues from Tavistock College who hosted our first full in-person meeting of the year. As well as all steering group members in attendance, we were joined by 25 local community residents. All attendees enthusiastically volunteered their support assisting the steering group in the coming weeks.
Meeting Highlights
Final version of survey ready to be sent out for final proofing before being delivered to every household and being available online. Video produced to be shown at local schools to engage younger community residents in the next week
Design team working on logo, leaflets and material for exhibitions and public promotional activity.
Volunteer ‘ambassadors’ will reach out to local community organisations to encourage engagement with the neighbourhood plan and participate in the survey; in addition there will be regular street stalls around Tavistock in the coming weeks to engage with the local community.
Our profile will be greatly increased through local media coverage, posters on notice boards, leaflets in a number of public places around the parish, our online and social media presence.
